A cum laude graduate of Boston College, Chris's HealthCare IT experience began in the mid-80's as a programmer at IDX, and SDK Healthcare Information Systems, now Eclipsys. He moved on in the late 80's to manage Software Support and Implementations at National Medical Care.
While earning his MBA with Distinction at Bentley in 1995, Chris branched into the Database Direct Marketing Industry, providing Healthcare Direct Marketing databases and programs for Pacificare, a leading healthcare services provider on the West coast, and Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Southern Florida.
Riding the wave of the dot com spike, Chris moved into the Internet space, managing the Advertising Technology staff at Lycos while working with cutting edge companies to develop brand new technologies – incidentally becoming the forerunners of the popup advertisement, spawning an entire industry of anti-popups, blockers, spam filters and the like.
Returning to his roots, Chris joined Newton-Wellesley Hospital in 2002 and remained for five years. In that time, he managed 30 hospital IT projects both house-wide and department specific, including a full re-design of the external hospital website, www.nwh.org, and the intranet.
Chris Parisi also established his skills and knowledge of Information Technology Project Management as an instructor for the University of Phoenix Online, teaching a Graduate course in Information Technology Project Management.
By far, his most challenging project was the full inpatient rollout of CPOE (Computerized Provider Order Entry). Starting in October of 2004 with the pilot unit, the 18 month project rollout included all inpatient units including a Maternity and Nursery ward, NICU, ICU, PACU and Admits from the ER. Concluding in February, 2006, the project was delivered ahead of schedule, to scope, and under budget.
In April of 2006, Chris founded ParcHealth, Inc and continues to provide high-quality Project Management and Health Care IT services.
